The Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Oscar L. Varnadoe III was born in Chicago, IL in 1957 and baptized into the Baptist church at seven years of age at Olivet Baptist Church by the late great Dr. Joseph Harrison Jackson president of the National Baptist Convention for 29 years. After the death of Dr. Jackson, the founder, he went to Trinity United Church of Christ under the leadership of Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr.
Rev. Dr. Varnadoe is a product of Chicago Public Schools and posses bachelors in Political Science and Business from Rocky Mountain College Billings, MT, a Masters in Arts and Religion with emphasis on Urban Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Divinity Deerfield, IL, a Master Divinity Samuel Dewitt proctor School of Theology Virginia Union University Richmond Virginia, Doctoral of Ministry United Theological Seminary School Dayton, OH. Minister Varnadoe is engaged in communities and organizations within Chicago, IL and Benton Harbor, MI for change in the arena of social justice through advocacy work; past Treasure Board Member Christopher House, past Executive Board of Service Employees International Local 73, past Board of Grass Roots Collaborative. Rev.
